Your Shoes Matter ...
Terence Hohaia (owner / cobbler)
With over 30 years experience as a cobbler, Terry is one of the best in the business. In 1978 his work as a cobbler began at Rose and Bartlett's, a small shop on Custom Street in Auckland. In 1982 he left for Sydney to work in one of Australia's oldest shoe repairs businesses - Falkinghams. This was owned by an Italian family who came from a long history of cobblers in Italy. It was here that Terry mastered the true craft of a cobbler.
Returning to New Zealand in 1990, Terry took over John Roberts Shoe Repairs in Milford. It was already a well established business owned by the cobbler John Roberts. Terry quickly built a strong customer base and a reputation for quality and excellence.
Terry is meticulous in his work and how he runs his workshop. He has developed strong methodologies and techniques that are unique to John Roberts Shoe Repairs. Outside of work Terry is a musician, loves fishing, surfing and dancing.
